Hey! I’m Ian Rothell.
I’m an Olathe-based photographer serving families, seniors, couples, and weddings throughout the Kansas City area. My goal is to make the whole experience feel relaxed and easy, while creating natural, meaningful photographs you’ll still love years from now.

I first began photographing weddings more than a decade ago, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to photograph everything from wedding days and surprise proposals to senior portraits and growing families. What I’ve always loved most is getting to know people, helping them feel comfortable, and capturing moments that genuinely feel like them.
I know being in front of a camera can feel awkward, so I won’t leave you wondering what to do with your hands or expecting your family to pose perfectly for an hour. I’ll provide plenty of direction when you need it, keep things relaxed, and leave room for the unscripted moments that often become the best photographs.
When I’m not taking pictures, I serve as a pastor at a local church here in Olathe and spend most of my time with my wife, Taylor, and our three boys. Working with people has been a huge part of my life, and I bring that same patience, care, and easygoing approach into every session and wedding day.
